Woodworking Instruction
In 2009 Wm Perry Studio opened a hands-on seminar program in Toronto’s Leaside district. The program offered group instruction in a fully-equipped professional workshop under the guidance of Bill Perry, who has more than 30 years experience in fine woodworking techniques.
What we learned, however, was that a clear majority of people were looking for one-on-one instruction rather than group classes. In response, our focus this year is on offering private instruction, tailored to each student’s individual interests and timetable.
Woodworking is a complex pursuit. Therefore the first step towards developing a course of instruction should be a discussion of your present abilities and of what you hope to accomplish, whether that be mastering specialized techniques or building an exceptional project. Any subject can be tailored to match your level of learning, from complete novice to accomplished amateur.
Cost of instruction is $500.00 per day. This includes seven hours of personal instruction time, plus a gourmet lunch, snacks and refreshments available throughout the day, as well as the use of all shop tools and equipment.
To discuss a course of study, please phone the studio at 416-524-7318 or send an email to seminars@wmperry.ca. Bill is often occupied teaching or working on commissions, so please leave a message if you don’t get an immediate answer. Bill will return your call promptly to arrange a convenient time to discuss your interests.
